Mumbai, May 31 (PTI) Prices of both the varieties of sugar edged down modestly at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today due to lack of demand from stockist and retailers amidst ample supplies.
Small sugar (S-30) edged down by Rs 4 per quintal to Rs 3,072/3,151 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 3,076/3,151.
Medium sugar (M-30) also moved down by a similar margin of Rs 4 to Rs 3,172/3,351 from Rs 3,176/3,351 per quintal.
