ET:Silver moves up in futures trade on global cues
NEW DELHI: Silver prices rose by Rs 230 to Rs 44,386 per kg in futures trading today as participants created fresh positions buoyed by a firm global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September spurted by Rs 230, or 0.52 per cent to Rs 44,386 per kg in business turnover of 57 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in July traded higher by Rs 209, or 0.48 per cent to Rs 43,713 per kg in 1,450 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators buoyed by a firm global trend, influenced precious metal prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver climbed 1.1 per cent to USD 22.51 in Singapore.
