NEW DELHI: Silver prices rose by Rs 76 to Rs 41,850 Per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions on the back of rebound in the precious metals overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September traded Rs 76, or 0.18 per cent, higher at Rs 41,850 per kg in business turnover of 285 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in July traded higher by Rs 19, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 41,305 per kg in 2,715 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions created by speculators following rebound in the precious metals from their lowest levels since September 2010 in the global markets on speculation that slump may spur purchases, influenced silver prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver gained 0.40 per cent to USD 19.78 an ounce after falling to USD 19.39 in Singapore.
