Crude palm oil prices fell by Rs 2 to Rs 501.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid subdued demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil prices for delivery in July fell by Rs 2, or 0.39%, to Rs 501.80 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 54 lots.
Similarly, crude palm oil prices for delivery in the August lost Rs 2, or 0.39%, to Rs 502.70 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 20 lots.
Market analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators at existing levels, sluggish demand in the spot market mainly led to a fall in crude palm oil futures.
