MY:Dollar-rupee futures up 75 paise to trade at 61.31
Dollar-rupee futures gained on Monday as better-than-expected US jobs data raised concern about Federal Reserve's bond buying program. Rupee too fell sharply below 61 against dollar that also weighed on the markets.
USDINR July contract was trading higher by 75 paise, or 1.24% at 61.31 as at 12.39 p.m as against previous close of 60.56.
The most active July contract has touched high of 61.53 and low of 61.14 after opening at 61.22.
A total of 1.62 million contracts were traded as on 12.31 p.m. Turnover for June contract was at Rs 101.92 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 1.72 million.
