The international crude oil price of Indian basket went up 0.69% to USD 103.53/ (bbl) on July 5, 2013. This was higher than the price of USD 102.82/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of July 4, 2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price continued its up 1.11% with prices reaching Rs 6,247/bbl on July 5, 2013 as compared to Rs 6,178.45/bbl on July 4, 2013. This was due to price increase in dollar terms and also because of rupee depreciation.
Rupee-dollar exchange rate on July 5, 2013 was at Rs 60.34/USD against Rs 60.09/USD.
