NEW DELHI: Prices of copper and nickel rose by Rs 2 per kg in the local non-ferrous metal market today on stockists buying in tandem with a firm global trend.
Traders said the rise in select base metals was mostly in tandem with a firming trend overseas.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months gained 1.3 per cent to USD 6,824 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4x4) rose by Rs 2 each to Rs 402 and Rs 1,026-1,029 per kg, respectively.
The following are today's metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 109-115, nickel plate (4x4) 1,026-1,029 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 402, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 147, lead imported 143, aluminium ingots 142, sheet cutting 143, aluminium wire scrap 146 and aluminium utensils scrap 142.
