NEW DELHI: Prices of copper and nickel fell by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metal market today largely on weak global trend.
Traders attributed the fall in copper and nickel to a weak global trend on concern tapering of stimulus in the US curbs demand of industrial metals.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months fell 0.7 per cent to 7,347.50 dollar per metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4x4) fell by Rs 2 each ti Rs 422 and to Rs 1,049-1,052 per kg respectively,
The following are today's metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 111-117, nickel plate (4x4) 1,049-1,052 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 422, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 150, lead imported 148, aluminium ingots 144, sheet cutting 145, aluminium wire scrap 147 and aluminium utensils scrap 144.
