ET:Copper, zinc prices rise on increased industrial demand
NEW DELHI: Copper and zinc rose by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metal market today due to increased industrial demand.
Traders increased industrial demand mainly led to rise in copper and zinc prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and zinc ingot moved up by Rs 2 each to Rs 424 and Rs 115-121 per kg, respectively.
The following are today's metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 115-121, nickel plate (4x4) 1,043-1,044 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 424, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 146, lead imported 144, aluminium ingots 146, sheet cutting 147, aluminium wire scrap 149 and aluminium utensils scrap 146.
