MW:Stock futures hold slight gains after retail sales

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures held their modest gains on Friday after data showed that U.S. retail sales rose 0.2% in August, which was less than Wall Street expected, but sales were higher in July and June than initially estimated. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJZ3 +0.09% gained 19 points to 15,265 and those on the S&P 500 index SPZ3 +0.10% were up less than a point at 1,678. Nasdaq 100 futures NDZ3 +0.16% added 3.75 points to 3,173.
