MY:India crude oil basket price declines 1.07% to USD 108.30 a barrel
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket went down 1.07% to USD 108.30 a barrel (bbl) on Sept. 20, 2013. This was lower than the price USD 109.47/bbl on the previous trading day of Sept. 19, 2013.
In rupee terms though, the crude oil price declined only marginally to Rs 6,740.59 a bbl on Sept. 20, 2013 as compared to Rs 6,759.77 /bbl on Sept. 19, 2013.
This was due to fall in price in dollar terms as rupee depreciation wiped a major part of the gains with rupee dollar exchange rate on Sept. 20, 2013 at Rs 62.24/USD against Rs 61.75/bbl on previous trading day of Sept. 19, 2013.
