BN:Low inflation rate in ECB signals continuation of low interest rates
There is a further indication this morning that the interest rates on tracker mortgages will remain low for the foreseeable future.
New figures published this morning show that the cost of living in the Eurozone rose by 1.1% in the 12 months to September.
That is down from 1.3% in the year to August, and far below the ECB's target of 2% inflation.
The low inflation rate means the ECB is likely to keep its main interest rates at their record lows in order to get inflation rising again.
