NEW DELHI: Nickel prices rose by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today on increased industrial demand amid a firming trend overseas.
Traders said besides increased demand from alloy-makers, a firming trend in copper and other base metals led to rise in nickel prices.
In the national capital, nickel (4x4) rose by Rs 2 to Rs 1,051-1,052 per kg.
The following are today's metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 113-119, nickel plate (4x4) 1,051-1,052 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 425, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 148, lead imported 146, aluminium ingots 148, sheet cutting 149, aluminium wire scrap 151 and aluminium utensils scrap 148.
