MY:India crude oil basket price rises 0.7% to USD 106.45 a barrel
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket went up 0.73% to USD 106.45 a barrel (bbl) on Oct. 28, 2013. This was higher than the price of USD 105.68/bbl which prevailed on the previous trading day of Oct. 25, 2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price registered increased to Rs 6,546.68 a bbl on Oct. 28, 2013 as compared to Rs 6,513.06 /bbl on Oct. 25, 2013. This was due to increase in price in dollar terms though rupee appreciation softened the impact of rise in price in dollar terms.
Rupee-dollar exchange rate on Oct. 28, 2013 was Rs 61.50/USD against Rs 61.63/bbl on previous trading day of Oct. 25, 2013.
