PJ:RBI fixes rupee reference rate at 61.9225 against USD
Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India on Wednesday fixed the reference rate of rupee against US dollar at 61.9225 and the euro at 83.6375 as against 61.7880 and 83.4190 on Tuesday.
In a press release issued by RBI, the exchange rates for the pound and yen against the rupee were quoted at 99.5961 a pound and 62.81 per 100 yen, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.
The reference rate is based on the noon rates of select banks and the SDR-Rupee rate would be based on this rate, the release added.
