BS:Select base metals decline on selling by stockists
 
Select base metals declined at the non-ferrous metal market here today on selling amid reduced offtake from industrial users.

The industrial metals remained steady at the LME following seasonally slow demand from top consumer China and the port strike in Chile also affected the sentiment.

Tin fell by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 1,533 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,537 and copper sheet cutting slipped by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 484 from Rs 487 previously.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar and aluminium utensils scrap eased by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 512, Rs 505, Rs 540 and Rs 125 as against Rs 514, Rs 507, Rs 542 and Rs 127, respectively.

Copper utensils scrap softened by a Re per kg to Rs 467.

However, Nickel edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 1,002 from overnight close of Rs 1,000.
