PJ:RBI fixes rupee reference rate at 61.9880 against dollar
Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Thursday fixed the reference rate of rupee against US dollar at 61.9880 and the euro at 83.9765 as against 61.9200 and 83.9267 on Wednesday.
In a press release issued by RBI, the exchange rates for the pound and yen against the rupee were quoted at 102.6707 and 59.42 per 100 yen, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.
The reference rate is based on the noon rates of select banks and the SDR-Rupee rate would be based on this rate, the release added.
