LCU:Pound Falls Vs Most Majors Ahead Of UK Services PMI
BRUSSELS (Alliance News) - At 4.30 am ET Wednesday, Markit is set to release UK services PMI for January. Economists forecast the indicator to rise to 59 in January from 58.8 in December.
The pound showed mixed trading against other major currencies prior to the report. While the pound slipped against the greenback, franc and the euro, it held steady against the yen.
The pound was quoted at 1.6301 against the greenback, 165.22 against the yen, 1.4739 against the franc and 0.8290 against the euro at 4:25 am ET.
