The international crude oil price of Indian Basket went up 0.59% to USD 107.03 a barrel on Feb. 17, 2014. This was higher than the price of USD 106.40 a bbl on previous trading day of Feb. 14, 2014.
In rupee terms also the crude oil of price Indian Basket went increased to Rs 6,630.51 a bbl on Feb. 17, 2014 as compared to Rs 6,626.59/bbl on Feb. 13, 2014. This was due to rupee appreciation which absorbed to a great extend the impact of the price rise in dollar terms.
Rupee closed weaker at Rs 61.95 USD on Feb. 17, 2014 against Rs 662.28/USD on Feb. 14, 2014.
