The international crude oil price of Indian Basket went down 0.17% to USD 106.44 a barrel (bbl) on Feb. 28, 2014. This was lower than the price of USD 106.62 a bbl on previous trading day of Feb. 25, 2014.
In rupee terms also, the price of Indian Basket increased marginally to Rs 6,606.73 a bbl on Feb. 28, 2014 as compared to Rs 6,604.04 a bbl on Feb. 27 2014. This was due to price rise in dollar terms and rupee appreciation.
Rupee closed weaker at Rs 62.07 a USD on Feb. 28, 2014 as against Rs 61.94 a US dollar on previous trading of Feb. 27, 2014.
