BS:Base metals slide on lower demand
 
Most of the base metals slid at the non-ferrous metal market here today on sustained stockist selling amid lower demand from industrial users.

The industrial trading higher at the LME, but was set to close the week little changed and not far from three-and-a- half year lows, as worries about China's economy clouded the outlook for demand.

Nickel dipped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,060 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,065 and copper sheet cutting fell by Rs 4 to Rs 466 from Rs 470.

Copper armature, copper utensils scrap, aluminium ingots and tin all slipped by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 471, Rs 452, Rs 146 and Rs 1,565 from yesterday's close of Rs 474, Rs 455, Rs 149 and Rs 1,568, respectively.

Brass sheet cutting and aluminium utensils scrap moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 358 and Rs 126 as against Rs 360 and Rs 128 previously.

Zinc and lead also softened by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 171 and Rs 142.
