Domestic gold and silver prices gained in noon trade on Friday. In India, April 2014 gold futures at the MCX were trading higher 0.08% at Rs 28,430 per 10 grams at 12.18 p.m. It opened at Rs 28,360.
May 2014 silver futures at the MCX were trading up 0.35% at Rs 43,040 per 1 kg after hitting high of Rs 43,075. It opened at Rs 42,906.
In global markets, gold futures for May 2014 went up 0.15% at USD 1,296.7 per troy ounce at the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
However, Comex Silver futures for May 2014 up 0.71% at USD 19.85 per troy ounce (12.21 p.m.).
