SG:Indian copper futures up on positive Asian cues
Press Trust of India reporetd that tracking positive Asian cues and a pick up in spot demand, copper futures rose marginally by 0.11% to INR 413.85 per kilkogram.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in June rose by 45 paise, or 0.11% to INR 413.85 per kilogram with a turnover of 363 lots. Similarly, the metal for delivery in April was up by ten paise, or 0.02% at INR 411.10 per kilogram with a trade volume of 2,385 lots.
In Asian trade, copper futures for delivery in July added 0.5% to CNY 46,660 per tonne in Shanghai.
Market analysts said that besides rising demand in the spot markets, a firming trend in Asian trade led to the rise in copper in futures market.
