Mumbai, Apr 25 (PTI) Extending its losing streak for the fourth session, the Indian rupee depreciated by 6 paise to 61.13 against the US dollar in early trade on Friday at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market due to sustained demand for the American currency from importers.
Besides, dollar's gains against other currencies overseas and a lower opening in the domestic equity market also weigh on the domestic currency.
The rupee had lost 31 paise to close at one-month low of 61.
