MW: Final consumer sentiment reading shows slight drop in July

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- The final University of Michigan/Thomson Reuters consumer sentiment index was 81.8, down from 82.5 in July, according to media reports. Economists polled by MarketWatch expected an 81.9 reading after a preliminary reading of 81.3 for July.
