Consumer spending and sentiment also rose.
As the U.S. economy continues to strengthen, the dollar should maintain its uptrend.
The U.S. dollar gained this week as economic growth and consumer sentiment rose, even as inflation measures remained suppressed. PowerShares DB US Dollar Index Bullish (NYSEARCA:UUP) is up over 12% since July, as is seen in the chart below.
