ENM: Gold holds near lowest in 2-week as dollar recovers
LONDON: Gold traded at two-week low as the dollar strengthened and data showed China's economic expansion slowed.
Gold lost 0.2 per cent to $1,190.30 an ounce. It reached $ 1,184.10 on Tuesday, the lowest since April 1. Silver also fell 0.4 per cent to $16.10 an ounce and platinum slipped 0.2 per cent to $ 1,149.55 an ounce.
The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index rose 0.4 per cent, recouping part of Tuesday's drop when data showed US retail sales lagged economists' expectations.
