LSE: Dollar Advances Vs Most Majors Ahead Of Weekly Jobless Claims
BRUSSELS (Alliance News) - The Labor Department is set to release its jobless claims report for the week ended December 12th at 8:30 am ET Thursday. Economists expect claims to decline to 274,000 from 282,000 in the previous week.
Ahead of the data, the greenback showed mixed trading against its major rivals. While the greenback held steady against the franc, it advanced against the rest of major rivals.
The greenback was worth 1.0835 against the euro, 1.4908 against the pound, 122.54 against the yen and 0.9969 against the franc as of 8:25 am ET.
