OTTAWA (Alliance News) - The US dollar firmed against its major opponents in European deals on Thursday.
The greenback advanced to a 6-day high of 1.4118 against the pound and a 5-week high of 1.0092 against the franc, from its early lows of 1.4232 and 0.9963, respectively.
The greenback climbed to 114.44 against the yen, its strongest since March 2, from its prior low of 113.15.
Against the euro, the greenback hit a 1-1/2-month high of 1.0822.
The greenback reversed from an early low of 1.3237 against the loonie, edging higher to 1.3310.
The next possible resistance for the greenback may be found around 1.40 against the pound, 1.02 against the franc, 1.07 against the euro, 116.00 against the yen and 1.34 against the loonie.
