MW: Treasurys decline as U.S. stock point higher

Treasurys fell slightly Wednesday, pushing yields up, as U.S equity markets tentatively head higher. Ten-year note yields rose 9 basis points to 2.47%. Investors expect President Barack Obama to support billions of dollars in government programs to revive the economy, financed with more debt issuance. Eyes will also be on Congress as it decides whether to confirm Timothy Geithner, current head of the New York Federal Reserve, as Treasury Secretary. A report on homebuilder's sentiment is expected at 1 p.m. Eastern time.
