U.S. stock index futures pared their losses on Thursday after Ford Motor Co's (F.N) earnings results showed the company posted a loss but saw a lower cash burn rate than expected and reaffirmed that it plans to go ahead without government loans.

* S&P 500 futures SPc1 were down 7.30 points and were below fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract.
