NEW DELHI: Select base metals, led by nickel, on Wednesday fell up to Rs 10 a kg in the national capital on increased selling by stockists, triggered by weak global trend. Selling pressure picked up after reports of meltdown in base metal prices on the L ondon Metal Exchange as inventories of copper and nickel rose to record level. At wholesale market here, nickel 4x4 suffered the most by losing Rs 10 to Rs 695-855 a kg.
Copper wire scrap, copper super-D-rod, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap moved down by Rs 2 each to Rs 228, Rs 250, Rs 255 and Rs 201 a kg respectively. In line with general weakening trend, zinc ingot lost Rs 3 at Rs 75 a kg.

Lead ingot (Hindustan Zinc) 75, lead imported 81, aluminium ingots 105, sheet cutting 100, aluminium wire scrap 100 and aluminium utensils scrap 90.
