ndia gold futures are expected to open lower on Friday, after having struck a record high in the previous session, analysts said.
They said gold may witness profit-taking after rising for three sessions in a row, but added that the underlying trend still remains bullish.
"The trend is still bullish, we might see some profit-booking (during the day)," said Subodh Gupta, an analyst with Anand Rathi Commodities in Mumbai.
"There is a possiblity of a correction to 14,620 levels," said Harish Galipelli, head of research at Karvy Comtrade in Hyderabad.
Gupta expects gold to open at around 14,700 rupees and trade in the range of 14,650-14,800 rupees for the day.
On the continuation charts futures closed 0.7 percent higher at 14,785 rupees per 10 grams, after hitting an all-time high of 14,824 in the previous session.
"Gold will be range-bound until it breaches 14,800 decisively," said Gupta, adding that the next level to watch out for would be 15,000 rupees.
