ET: Copper, nickel soften on weak global cues
 
Copper and nickel plate prices today fell up to Rs 5 per kg in the non-ferrous metal market in the national capital largely in line with weakening global.

Marketmen said stockists selling amid weakening trend at London Metal Exchange mainly attributed to fall in base metal prices.
They said subdued global demand from consuming industries due to deepening economic recession also had negative impact on the trading sentiments.
Copper wire scrap, copper super D rod, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were down marginally by paise 50 each at Rs 205.00, Rs 22700, Rs 23200 and Rs 18300 per kg, respectively.
Nickel (4x4) also lost Rs 5 at Rs 650-810 per kg.
