NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures rose Wednesday for a second session as Asian and European stock markets rebounded. U.S. futures also indicated stocks will rise on Wall Street. Crude for April delivery rose $1.33, or 3.2%, to $42.98 a barrel in early North American electronic trading. Oil had plunged 10% Monday to end near $40 a barrel but has since gained about 7%.
