MW: Energy stocks advance, support Asian market gains
Energy stocks rose with the broad market as the sector recovered from bruising losses earlier in the week after a bad-as-expected monthly jobs report. The Amex Oil Index rose 3% to 789. The Amex Natural Gas Index rose 1.8% to 311.
