MB: Copper edges higher in LME pre-market as stocks fall
Three-month copper prices edged up in early trading on the London Metal Exchange as stocks continued to fall. Copper opened at $3,635 per tonne compared with its official settlement price on Monday of $3,595/600 per tonne. The red metal traded up to an intraday high of $3,679.75 per tonne and fell no lower than $3,600 by 09:52 GMT. The contract was trading at $3,660 per tonne at 09:52 GMT.
