MW: U.S. natural gas inventories fall 112 bcf: EIA
U.S. natural gas inventories fell by 112 billion cubic feet in the week ended March 6, the Energy Information Administration reported Thursday. Analysts surveyed by Platts had expected a decline of less than 105 billion cubic feet. After the data, natural gas for April delivery extended gains, up $2.7% to $3.901 per million British thermal units. At 1,681 billion cubic feet, inventories were 271 billion cubic feet higher than last year at this time and 197 billion cubic feet above the five-year average, the EIA said.
