MW: U.S. stocks start lower as investors await Federal Reserve
U.S. stocks opened modestly lower ahead of the Federal Reserve's latest ideas on how to bolster the ailing economy. After hitting near four-week highs the prior session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 69.06 points to 7,326.64. The S&P 500 fell 7.66 points to 770.53, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 7.15 points to 1,454.96.
