NEW DELHI: Vedanta Resources group firm Hindustan Zinc said on Monday it has reduced the prices of silver by Rs 270 to Rs 21,940 a kg.
“The price revision is effective from today,” a company circular said, adding the prices are exclusive of sales tax, VAT and other statutory levies as applicable.
Silver is used in making electrical contacts, conductors and mirrors. Its amalgamations are used in dental fillings. It is also used in soldering activities.
The miner revises silver rates almost everyday following the price movement at the London Metal Exchange. Shares of Hindustan Zinc were trading at Rs 432, up 4.23 per cent in the afternoon session on the Bombay Stock Exchange. - PTI
