BS: SPDR gold trust holdings drop to month-long low
Gold holdings in the SPDR Gold Trust, the biggest exchange-traded fund backed by bullion, dropped to the lowest in almost a month, according to figures on the company’s Web site.
The fund held 1105.98 metric tons of bullion as of April 17, 1.2% lower than the day before. Asset levels are at their lowest since March 19.
The precious metal was little changed at $US870.50 an ounce in the London afternoon fixing on April 17 from $US880.50 the day before. Gold for immediate delivery was little changed at $868.80 an ounce this morning in Singapore.
