MW: Stock futures stay higher after jobless claims
U.S. stock futures on Thursday mostly maintained early gains after the Labor Department reported a 27,000 jump in initial jobless claims to 640,000 last week. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 53 points to 7,869. Those for the S&P 500 were up 7.40 points to 844.30, while Nasdaq 100 futures added 20.75 points to 1,344.25.
