The 30-share BSE index ended up 1.74 percent at 11,329.05
points and the 50-share NSE index ended up 1.67 percent at
3,480.75 points, their seventh straight weekly rise as
cash-flush funds jumped in on the growing optimism the world
economy was on the mend.

GOVERNMENT BONDS -------------------------------
The 6.05 percent 2019 government bond yield at 6.12
percent, from previous close of 6.21 percent, after the outcome
of the bond auction was better than expected.
RUPEE --------------
The rupee at 49.81/83 per dollar, stronger than previous
close of 49.92/94, as shares rose after a choppy start, while a
rally in other Asian currencies versus the dollar also
underpinned sentiment.
INTEREST RATE SWAPS INROIS

The benchmark five-year interest rate swap at 5.12/18
percent, from previous close of 5.20/26.
CALL MONEY --------------------
Call money rate at 3.20/30 percent, barely moved from
previous close of 3.25/35, on surplus liquidity in the system.

The June contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India
at 14,610 rupees, up 12 rupees from the previous close.
