Oil futures rose for a second session Thursday, as optimism over a global economic recovery buoyed sentiment among energy traders. Crude for June delivery gained 66 cents to $51.60 a barrel in electronic trading on Globex. The Federal Reserve suggested Wednesday the worst of the recession may finally be over. The economy could remain weak in coming month but policy actions and "market forces" were aligned to create a gradual upturn, the Fed said.
