RTRS: Dollar extends losses vs euro after U.S. housing data
NEW YORK (Reuters) - The dollar lost more ground against the euro on Tuesday after data showed U.S. housing starts in May were better than expected.
The euro rose as high as $1.3934 against the dollar on electronic trading platform EBS after the data from $1.3902 just before. It was last at $1.3914, up 0.9 percent on the day.
Against the yen, the dollar edged higher to 97.26 after the data from 97.01 earlier.
