The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Wednesday morning. Gold was down.
The euro traded at US$1.3922, down from US$1.3927 late Tuesday in New York.

--1.0892 Swiss francs, up from 1.0884
--1.1632 Canadian dollars, down from 1.1648
The British pound was quoted at US$ 1.6119, down from $1.6153.
Gold traded in London at US$920.75 per troy ounce, down from US$924.00 late Tuesday.
