(RTTNews) - The Canadian currency edged higher against most major rivals in early New York trading on Wednesday.
The Canadian dollar climbed to 1.1613 against the US dollar and 81.26 against the yen around 9:05 pm ET, from its previous session's multi-week low levels of 1.1686 and 80.72, respectively.
Snapping back from its recent low of 1.6233, the loonie drifted higher to 1.6155 against the euro by this time and this may be compared to yesterday's close of 1.6245.
Currently, the Canadian currency is trading at 1.1624 against the buck, 81.13 against the yen and 1.6168 per euro.
