WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- U.S. producer prices rose 1.8% in June, beating economists' expectations, the Labor Department reported Tuesday. It was the biggest increase since November 2007. Excluding volatile food and energy prices, the index was up by 0.5% in June. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch were expecting producer prices to climb by 1.2% in June.
