NEW YORK, July 20 (UPI) -- Oil prices rose above $64 a barrel in New York Monday morning, bolstered by Asian and European stock rallies and a falling U.S. dollar.
Light, sweet crude for August delivery gained $1.27, or 2 percent, to $64.83 a barrel in mid-morning trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract advanced $1.54 in Friday trading.
Natural gas rose 3 cents, or 0.84 percent, to $3.7 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Heating oil was up 3.92 cents, or 2.39 percent, to $1.6802 a gallon.
AAA said the average U.S. retail price for regular unleaded gasoline was $2.465 a gallon, down 0.03 cents from Sunday's $2.468 a gallon.
