NEW DELHI: Gold futures price fell by 0.16 per cent on the Multi Commodity Exchange on Tuesday on fresh resistance in demand at existing higher level.

On the MCX counters, gold for the most active August contract fell by 0.16 per cent to Rs 14,860 per ten gram with an open interest of 13,338 lots. It gained 0.45 per cent in yesterday's trading.

Similarly, gold for delivery in October contract weakened by 0.15 per cent to Rs 14,862 per ten gram with an open interest of 4,023 lots. Market men said fresh resistance in demand at existing higher level mainly led to fall in gold prices. - PTI
